IT'S THE LITTLE LUXURIES

Luxury is in the details—the thoughtful design choices that transform a house into a home tailored just for you. At Harmony Crafted Homes Atelier, we believe true luxury isn’t just about grandeur; it’s about crafting spaces that elevate your everyday life.

It might be a spa-inspired bathroom with a deep soaking tub, radiant heated floors, and soft, ambient lighting. Or perhaps it’s an open-concept kitchen designed for both effortless entertaining and intimate family meals, complete with custom cabinetry, a hidden walk-in pantry, and statement lighting.

Maybe luxury to you means a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, with expansive glass walls that open onto a private terrace, or a reading nook nestled beside a floor-to-ceiling window that bathes the space in natural light. Whatever your vision, we design with intention—blending beauty, functionality, and comfort to create a home where every detail feels like a little luxury made just for you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is bespoke home design?

Bespoke home design is all about creating a unique living space tailored specifically to your needs and preferences. At Harmony Crafted Homes Atelier, we work closely with you to understand your vision and bring it to life, ensuring every detail reflects your style.

The timeline for the design process can vary depending on the complexity of your project. Typically, it takes several weeks to a few months. We prioritize quality and collaboration, so we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

How long does the design process take?

Absolutely! We encourage your input throughout the design process. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we want to ensure that the final design is exactly what you envisioned.

For our first meeting, it’s helpful to bring any ideas, sketches, or inspiration you have in mind. Think about your lifestyle needs, preferred styles, and any specific features you want in your home. This will help us kickstart the creative process together!

Can I make changes during the design process?

What should I prepare for our first meeting?

  • Our primary service area is within an hour of Minocqua, Wisconsin, but depending on the project and our schedule, we may travel further. Whenever possible, we prefer to visit your site in person to ensure the design takes full advantage of the land, views, and natural surroundings.

That said, our experience in residential design extends well beyond Wisconsin—we’ve designed homes extensively throughout Florida, in various states across the U.S., and even internationally. No matter where you dream of calling home, we can bring your vision to life with thoughtful, personalized design solutions tailored to your location, lifestyle, and unique needs.

  • With extensive experience in residential design across various regions, including Wisconsin and Florida, we are well-versed in local building codes and permitting processes. We collaborate closely with structural engineers to ensure all designs comply with regional regulations, facilitating a smooth approval process.

  • While our primary role is to provide detailed design plans, we are available to consult with your chosen builder to ensure the design's integrity is maintained throughout the construction process. Our goal is to facilitate a seamless transition from design to build, resulting in a home that reflects your vision.

  • While our primary focus is residential design, we have experience with many commercial projects as well. We are happy to discuss your commercial project and tailor a design solution to fit your business needs.

  • Yes! We deeply respect the character and integrity of historic homes. When designing renovations or remodels for historic properties, we ensure that the original architectural details and charm remain intact while seamlessly integrating modern functionality. If you have a historic home that needs careful updating while preserving its unique craftsmanship, we would love to help bring it back to life with thoughtful, period-sensitive design solutions.

  • At Harmony Crafted Homes Atelier, we specialize in crafting comprehensive design blueprints for new homes and remodels. Our services include conceptual design development, detailed floor plans, elevations, and coordination with structural engineers to produce signed and sealed drawings suitable for permitting. While we focus exclusively on the design aspect, we ensure our plans comply with local building codes and are ready for your chosen builder to execute.

  • Our design process begins with an in-depth consultation to understand your vision, lifestyle, and specific requirements. We then conduct site visits to assess the terrain and optimize views, ensuring your home harmonizes with its surroundings. Utilizing advanced 3D rendering capabilities (optional and at an additional cost), we present your design for visualization before finalizing the detailed plans. This collaborative approach ensures the final design aligns perfectly with your expectations.

  • Absolutely! At Harmony Crafted Homes Atelier, we can design your home using an existing floor plan you love or customize a layout to better fit your lifestyle. Planning is unquestionably the most important part of the entire design process, and we take great care to ensure your home is tailored to your unique needs, daily routines, and personal aesthetic. Whether you come to us with an elaborate plan or a simple sketch, we will bring your vision to life with expert craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Visualization is key when designing a custom home, so we use advanced 3D rendering capabilities to help you see your design come to life before construction begins (this is optional and at an additional cost). Additionally, we conduct site visits to assess terrain, optimize views, and ensure that your home takes full advantage of its surroundings before beginning the conceptual design phase.

  • Of course! Designing a home is a deeply personal and exciting journey, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. We’ll start with a conversation about your lifestyle, family needs, ideal square footage, and what you love (or don’t love) about your current home. From there, we’ll craft a design that brings your vision to life in a way that feels intentional, functional, and uniquely yours.

  • At Harmony Crafted Homes Atelier, we understand that every project is unique. For most jobs, we’re happy to provide a project-based estimate, typically within a defined range. To begin work on the preliminary drawings, a retainer is required. As we refine your design, highly customized projects or those requiring frequent revisions may transition to an hourly structure to best accommodate evolving details.

Once the preliminary plans are finalized and approved, we proceed with the construction prints upon receipt of a retainer for this phase. The final balance is due upon completion. Our goal is to provide flexibility, transparency, and a process that aligns with your needs, ensuring a seamless and personalized design experience.
